The staff were excellent the whole time. the location was particularly good, and we could reach Mae Haad Bay by walking. it was a short walk to the shops and restaurants, right in the center close to all shops and restaurants.

It was a beachfront hotel which had good service. The venue had a beachfront location and it was a minute walk from view. You could walk to a supermarket and shops. Food was nice and their restaurant was excellent.

We stayed here for just one night but found the surroundings to be breathtakingly beautiful, with a convenient location and peaceful atmosphere.

The staff at Koh Tao Royal Resort were caring and attentive, always ready to help with any request. We enjoyed our welcome drinks at the beach bar in the evening. Thank you for a pleasant stay during our vacation spent mostly relaxing.

Conveniently located near Mae Haad Bay, with incredibly welcoming staff providing excellent service and offering breathtaking garden views from the deluxe bungalow.

The hotel is very close to the main pier. This is very helpful when you want to go to the touristic spots by boat. O hotel é próximo ao pier principal. Isso é muito útil quando deseja-se ir aos pontos turísticos do arquipélago de barco.
The service at this hotel is not good. The employees are not as friendly as thai people are known to be. Don´t eat at this hotel. The service is really slow. The rooms are small and dark. Same as the bathrooms. There are some rooms without air conditioning. Don´t even think about staying at one of them.

OK standard (Koh Tao Standard). Situated on the outskirts of Maae Had, at the end of the path, so it`s quiet and calm. Nice small beach right infront, and this beach is actually the best in Maae Had because even when low tide you can swim here. Bungalows are a little bit run down, but ok. You must ask them to clean during youre stay if you want/need it. Recomended.

The location was great right by the beach at the quite end of it. The design of the bungalows was very nice and the garden settings very nice with a very relaxing atmonsphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there is a very nice restaurant there too.

Conveniently situated, it's just a 15-minute walk to the pier. You can easily access other beautiful beaches nearby, and catch connecting boats to explore the island. 🏝️

The resort location was beautiful, but on arrival the room wasn't ready and it didn't look anything like the pictures. Sure enough it is on the beach and the view is breathtaking, but the rooms are overpriced, and the staff were not very friendly.
The staff weren't very friendly. I expected more from a 3* and the pictures. On the 2nd night we chose some bungalows that were just as good and more than half the price. Beware the bathrooms have window with no curtains, so everyone see's you showering. Bad times.

The location was brilliant right beside the beach and the staff were helpful and very friendly.
The bathroom could have been a little bigger and there could have been a big mirror.

Location is right on the beach and near restaurants, but in a quiet part of the island that shuts down early. The hotel is in a great spot, just a short walk down a dirt track to Sai Ree, which we found nicer than other areas. The hotel is perfect, being just 200m from the peer, away from noise but still close to everything. Breakfast is delicious and included in the price.
The rooms are basic and poorly decorated, with limited lighting.

The way the staff dealt with the problems we encountered
The room was too dimly lit with 1 plug socket. The mosquito net was at best, useless. The number of mosquitos was incredible, and not in a good way.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
